Relaunch Champion C and Champion R

Just in time for its 70th anniversary, Böckmann Fahrzeugwerke GmbH, based in Lastrup, is launching a new edition of one of its most traditional horse trailers: the Champion. For decades one of the best-selling horse trailers in the Böckmann range, the Champion is now available in the redesigned Champion C and Champion R versions. Spacious, well-thought-out, and practical down to the last detail, the new Champion offers more storage space, easier handling, and increased safety on the road – while remaining true to its proven character.

For many years, the Champion has been one of the most reliable companions for horse and rider in the Böckmann product range. With this relaunch, the company is responding directly to its customers' needs: more space for larger horses, even simpler handling in daily use, and a modern, durable design. The new tack room with additional storage, larger entry doors, and higher aluminum side walls make the Champion C and Champion R a logical and consistent evolution of this proven model.

At the heart of the redesign is the 20 cm increase in the height of the side walls – a major advantage for owners of large horses, providing them with more freedom of movement and comfort during transport. The newly designed, seamless bow combines modern styling with maximum durability, emphasizing the brand's premium standards.

The new Champion is also highly sophisticated when it comes to loading: an additional 13 cm of space in front of the horses makes entering and exiting noticeably easier and ensures greater safety during daily handling. For feeding on the go, the feed bucket can now be hung directly in front of the horse – a practical, detailed solution that makes everyday life easier for horse and rider. Accessing the trailer has also become more convenient, as the entry doors have been heightened by 20 cm.

A central element of the relaunch is the completely redesigned tack room. Integrated shelves offer significantly more storage space for equipment and accessories, while large, rounded contours give the bodywork a premium and modern appearance. The storage area with a zero-point drainage design ensures improved water runoff, contributing to durability and ease of maintenance. The door to the tack room has been raised by 15 cm, allowing for even more comfortable access. Additional net hooks for hay round off the practice-oriented equipment.

Like every Böckmann trailer, the Champion C and Champion R are built on a foundation of proven quality and safety features that reflect the "Made in Germany" promise in every detail. These include the longitudinal beam chassis with a bolted V-drawbar, as well as the CFF-Plus chassis including wheel shock absorbers for safe and comfortable handling. The original Böckmann all-aluminum floor, combined with a glued and sealed rubber floor, ensures durability and secure footing, while V2A stainless steel screwing provides permanent corrosion protection.

Safety during loading and in road traffic is reinforced by numerous detailed solutions: rubber on the rear ramp with integrated safety steps and side stops, a maneuvering handle, a closed rear strut, four rear ramp hinges, and two rear side struts ensure stability and a secure stand. The equipment is complemented by a license plate holder with two steps, a gas-spring-supported ramp lifting device, as well as a lighting system with a reversing light and a 13-pin plug.

Horse comfort is ensured by side padding and additional front breast bar padding, while the side kick protection made of black plastic offers extra safety. The pop-up window in the polyester hood provides ventilation and natural light inside. The features are rounded off by practical accessories such as a broom with a telescopic handle, a plastic shovel with a handle, and the tack room equipped with an extendable saddle holder, a net, and a mirror.
